Business Development Manager - Data Quality

About the role

Experian is hiring a Business Development Manager for a hunter role selling its data quality solutions into the VIC portfolio. The role suits someone comfortable selling small one-off deals such as a data cleanse, as well as larger, complex deals with tailored data solutions and expert consulting. It is a 360 sales role with about 15 new meetings and 10 follow-up meetings per month, focusing on Data Validation, Data Management, Data Enrichment and Single Customer View technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Predominantly acquire new business opportunities within existing customer accounts and new logos
• Manage and close business within a defined portfolio
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy
• Prospect for new contacts within both existing and new accounts
• Stick to a weekly operating rhythm
• Focus on industries such as retail, local government, tourism, automotive, charity and education

Required profile

• Confident person with a desire to perform
• 2+ years of experience in lead generation and attending meetings, with or without technical presales assistance
• 2+ years of sales experience, with a focus on business development and closing opportunities
• Curious questioning style, understanding needs analysis
