Business Development Manager (Corporate Sales)

About the role

Veriu Group, which operates Punthill Apartment Hotels and Veriu Hotels & Suites across Australia, is hiring a Business Development Manager for its Veriu Sydney Central hotel. The role identifies, pursues and secures growth opportunities for corporate accounts (B2B) and works closely with the General Manager to help the hotel reach its strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive direct corporate sales (B2B) to increase production and generate new corporate relationships
• Navigate and secure opportunities linked to major projects and institutions
• Cold call, knock on doors, generate new leads and build a strong corporate pipeline
• Increase brand awareness by strengthening existing relationships and building new ones
• Conduct site inspections, client visits, attend industry events and work in a team-oriented way
• Develop and implement sales plans and a targeted approach to exceed targets
• Maintain strong data integrity and use data to inform decisions
• Engage directly with individual travellers at the property

Required profile

• Approved Australian working rights (citizenship, permanent residency or a visa with approved working rights)
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales
• Proven ability to resolve problems or complaints
• Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication
• Experience influencing operational teams and making strategically aligned business decisions
• Adaptable, enjoys variety and has an ownership mindset
