Business Development Manager (First BDM)

About the role

A fast-growing, Series A funded start-up that is creating a brand-new category of reusable drinkware and natural Australian beverages is looking for its first Business Development Manager. The role reports directly to the Head of Sales and is responsible for winning new business and growing revenue, building the sales function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle, from prospect to close
• Run outbound outreach and convert inbound leads
• Lead discovery meetings and product demos
• Prepare proposals and negotiate new deals
• Grow existing accounts through upsell
• Manage pipeline and forecast in HubSpot
• Help build the sales playbook from the ground up

Required profile

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience
• Track record of closing deals and hitting targets
• SaaS, tech or start-up experience highly regarded
• Desire to leave corporate for real impact
• Ambition and grit for a fast-paced start-up environment
• Genuine passion for sustainability and purpose

Required skills

• Comfort with HubSpot or similar CRMs

What we offer

• Base pay of $80,000 to $90,000 plus super, uncapped commission and ESOP; base negotiable for the right person
• Shareholder status through ESOP
