Business Development Manager, Architectural Furniture

About the role

A premium architectural furniture business based in Melbourne is looking for a Business Development Manager to sell directly to high-end residential clients and Tier 1 commercial projects, working with architects and interior designers. The company's showroom is in Melbourne and demand is growing while the managing director builds the business out nationally. The role reports to the MD and is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Sell directly from high-end residential through to Tier 1 commercial projects, working with architects and interior designers
• Turn customer interest into quotes, proposals and presentations that secure orders
• Represent the business at industry events and trade shows
• Work closely with the marketing, product and operations teams
• Host clients in the showroom some days and spend most days out in front of customers; one Saturday a month in the showroom

Required profile

• Premium furniture sales experience (essential)
• At least three years in an outbound sales role
• Comfortable on the showroom floor and out on the road
• Commercial sense: negotiates payment terms and reviews contracts independently
• Organised and self-driven, setting their own targets
• Clear in person and in writing

What we offer

• Base salary of $100,000 to $140,000 plus superannuation
• Car allowance and commission on top
