Business Development Executive – On-Premise

About the role

As a Business Development Executive for the Emerald and Rockhampton region, you will own a broad on‑premise territory and be responsible for growing Asahi’s multi‑beverage portfolio in bars, pubs and restaurants. The role is relationship‑focused, requiring you to deepen existing contracts while expanding distribution, visibility and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow an established on‑premise territory across a large geographic area.
• Build long‑term partnerships with venue owners, operators and contracted customer groups.
• Drive distribution, brand visibility, compliance and execution of promotional activities.
• Conduct regular business reviews, negotiate agreements and identify volume‑growth opportunities.
• Maintain an effective call cycle and journey plan, including 2–3 overnight stays per fortnight.
• Use data and insights to improve territory performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support the broader “One Asahi” strategy.

Required profile

• Previous FMCG field‑sales experience in on‑premise or multi‑beverage environments.
• Strong relationship‑management and commercial negotiation capabilities.
• Proven ability to manage large territories autonomously.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and territory‑planning skills.
• Comfortable with regular regional travel and occasional overnight stays.
• Current, valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and sales‑enablement tools.
