Business Consultant – Border Management (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Business Consultant to join our team in Brisbane or Sydney on a permanent basis. The role focuses on border management systems within the travel and airline sector, providing functional consulting, requirement analysis, and supporting solution design and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements and contribute to solution design documentation.
• Translate requirements into user stories and manage the backlog using Azure DevOps (ADO).
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform effort estimations using industry‑standard techniques such as Function Point analysis.
• Support schema design and create interface control documents (ICD).
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews and release documentation.
• Review functional test cases to ensure alignment with business needs and provide functional support to development and QA teams.
• Analyse risks and ensure delivery aligns with project objectives.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business analysis experience with strong domain knowledge in border and security management.
• Hands‑on experience with PNR, DCS, APP and APIS messaging formats.
• Proven ability to work in Agile delivery environments.
• Australian citizenship with baseline security clearance.
