Business Analyst

About the role

Join Australian Payments Plus on a 12‑month contract to translate business needs into practical solutions across Australia’s payments ecosystem. You will work with internal teams and external enterprise customers to drive discovery, define requirements and support initiatives from assessment through to operational transition.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and manage requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, including scope definition, elicitation, analysis, documentation and prioritisation.
• Model business processes, conduct data modelling and mapping, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Validate systems, products and services against requirements, metrics and targets, and support testing and implementation.
• Engage and influence a range of stakeholders, simplify technical information for non‑technical audiences, and manage risk, issues and dependencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Experience across the delivery lifecycle, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and traceability.
• Knowledge of payments technology, IT systems and the financial services industry.
• Proven ability to work directly with external enterprise customers and vendors.

Required skills

• Data modelling and mapping.
• Jira for tracking and collaboration.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery practices.
