Business Advisory & Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Business Advisory and Tax practice in Adelaide. The role offers genuine influence over client relationships and a clear pathway to senior leadership within a growing advisory firm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of business advisory and taxation clients across multiple industries.
• Provide strategic accounting, tax, and commercial advisory services.
• Strengthen long‑term client relationships and identify opportunities for added value.
• Collaborate with Directors on complex advisory matters and strategic initiatives.
• Review work completed by accountants, offering technical guidance and mentorship.
• Coach and develop junior team members, overseeing workflow priorities and client deadlines.
• Monitor work‑in‑progress, billing, and client profitability.
• Contribute to internal process improvements and operational efficiencies.
• Participate in networking, marketing, and business development activities.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualified with 6+ years’ experience in a professional services/accounting firm.
• Strong technical accounting and taxation expertise.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and lead client relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused approach with a commitment to exceptional client service.
