Brand & Marketing Officer

About the role

Settlement Services International (SSI Group) is looking for a creative and organised Brand & Marketing Officer to support campaigns, content and digital experiences across its mission-driven organisation. It suits an early-career marketer with around 2-3 years' experience who wants to grow in content creation, social media, campaign coordination and brand marketing. The role is a full-time maximum-term contract until end June 2027, with the option to work from either the Sydney or Brisbane office.

Key responsibilities

• Create and repurpose written, visual and multimedia content.
• Coordinate campaigns across social media, email, web and digital advertising.
• Maintain content calendars and support day-to-day digital channels.
• Apply the organisation's brand, messaging, accessibility and safeguarding standards.
• Track campaign performance and turn data into practical insights.
• Coordinate stakeholders, suppliers, schedules and marketing assets.
• Support events, partnerships and organisation-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, PR or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2-3 years' experience in marketing, communications, content or digital media.
• Proactive, adaptable and detail-oriented, able to manage competing priorities.
• Sensitivity to ethical, community-centred storytelling.
• Experience in the not-for-profit, community services or social-impact sector is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Strong writing and content-creation skills.
• Hands-on experience managing social media channels.
• Confidence with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar tools.
• Familiarity with email marketing, websites, SEO and analytics.
