Branch Manager

About the role

As a Branch Manager in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will lead a branch team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while driving growth across sales, revenue and profitability. The role combines people leadership with responsibility for the overall operation, service excellence and compliance with ANZ policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day branch operations, ensuring sales targets, service standards and compliance are met.
• Develop and execute business development and sales plans to grow the customer base.
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through quality service and digital engagement.
• Manage branch profitability, productivity and revenue performance in line with ANZ’s Pillars of Performance.
• Lead, coach and develop branch staff, fostering a high‑performing team culture.

Required profile

• Proven business development and sales planning experience, preferably in financial services.
• Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities.
• Commercial acumen with experience in business management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
• Previous experience in retail banking or a similar branch network.
• Comfort with digital channels and a commitment to enhancing digital customer engagement.
