BMS Technician

About the role

Automated Logic, now part of Carrier, is hiring a BMS Technician. The role offers hands-on experience with building automation systems, supported by experienced professionals while developing technical skills in commissioning, servicing and system optimisation. It suits graduates or junior technicians wanting a foundation in Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with servicing, preventative maintenance and commissioning of BMCS/DDC control systems
• Support software configuration, testing, calibration and basic programming
• Work with senior technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Ensure site work is completed safely, on time and to a high standard
• Contribute to documentation, reporting and project coordination
• Take part in site meetings, safety briefings and ongoing training
• Support customers and internal teams when required

Required profile

• A qualification (or working towards) in HVAC, Mechatronics, Electrical or a related field
• Interest or foundational knowledge in BMS or HVAC
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and pride in quality work

Required skills

• Basic computer skills
• MS Office, systems or programming exposure is a plus
