Before and After School Care Educator (Casual)

About the role

Randstad is looking for casual educators to provide engaging, quality after-school care with providers in the Sutherland area. Unqualified and qualified OSHC educators are welcome, and shifts run between 2pm and 6pm. You choose when and how you work, managing your schedule through the app.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise primary school-aged children in outdoor and indoor activities
• Help other staff deliver fun and educational programs
• Set up outside-of-school clubs and activities
• Provide a safe and secure environment
• Liaise with carers and families

Required profile

• No qualifications needed, but experience working with children is essential; alternatively a Diploma or Certificate III in early childhood education, Certificate IV in Education Support, Certificate IV in school aged education and care, or Certificate IV in Children's Studies 4-14 years
• Australian work rights
• Willingness to obtain a state-based Working With Children Card and Food Handling Certificate
• Commitment to child safeguarding and understanding of mandatory reporting duties
• Willingness to complete mandatory child safety training
• References from at least two recent managers who can speak to your ability to work with children

Required skills

• Ability to implement quality, engaging, activity-based programs
• Understanding of the My Time Our Place framework
• Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
