Batcher / Relief Agitator Driver

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is looking for a Batcher / Relief Agitator Driver for its Airlie Beach Concrete Plant. The role combines batching, yard duties, customer interaction and relief agitator driving, with a mix of tasks so no two days are the same. It is based at the plant and runs Monday to Friday with Saturday work.

Key responsibilities

• Batch pre-mixed concrete and allocate customer jobs
• Load and deliver concrete as an agitator driver
• Complete stock takes and perform pre-start checks
• Operate the front-end loader where you hold a ticket or have experience
• Clean trucks and carry out general site maintenance
• Support purchasing activities and ensure safety and quality procedures are followed

Required profile

• Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) licence
• Current White Card, or willingness to obtain one
• Experience ordering materials and keeping adequate stock levels
• Ability to help with plant maintenance and keep the site ready to run
• Strong customer communication skills and professional on-site behaviour
• Safety-first attitude and commitment to a clean, presentable truck

Required skills

• SAP and Command batching system experience, or willingness to learn
• Good computer literacy and ability to follow processes
• Strong organisational and time-management skills

What we offer

• Pay of $34-$36 per hour depending on experience
• Overtime at time and a half after 7.6 hours and double time after 9.6 hours
• Average 45-55 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturday work
