Batcher In Charge – Concrete Plant

About the role

A client, a leading Australian construction materials supplier of ready-mixed concrete, is looking for a Batcher In Charge for its Archerfield concrete plant. The role is based at the plant, Monday to Friday starting at 6am, with 8-10 hour days. The advertised pay is $41.98 per hour plus penalties, casual employment, with an ASAP start.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of the concrete batching plant and equipment.
• Batch concrete to the correct mix designs, quality standards and safety requirements.
• Monitor concrete quality and report issues or material variations.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to batchers, drivers and contractors.
• Ensure site safety procedures are followed and report hazards, incidents and near misses.
• Complete plant maintenance requests and report equipment issues.
• Assist with customer orders, delivery scheduling and payment collection where required.
• Support delivery scheduling and fleet coordination.
• Monitor stock levels and complete stock control and material reconciliation reports.
• Carry out regular safety and environmental audits and follow up on issues.
• Train, coach and support batchers and drivers, and resolve minor site issues.

Required profile

• Drivers licence and reliable transport.
• Construction White Card preferred.
• VOC or RII Loader ticket preferred.
• Confined space training, working at heights training and other safety certifications preferred.
