Bartender - Esprit Noir & Le Rivage

About the role

Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, a Sofitel Ambassador position, is looking for a skilled part-time bartender for its bar Esprit Noir & Le Rivage. The role combines creativity, technique and warmth to craft exceptional cocktails and create a welcoming, vibrant atmosphere where guests feel indulged and entertained.

Key responsibilities

• Craft classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages to recipe and luxury standards
• Perform flair bartending and serve drinks with precision and flair
• Maintain a pristine, organised bar, including mise en place, glassware presentation and cleanliness
• Manage multiple orders at pace during busy services while keeping accuracy and quality high
• Interact with guests, read the room and create personalised experiences through conversation and product knowledge
• Handle stock control, opening and closing procedures and minimise wastage
• Deliver responsible alcohol service

Required profile

• Solid experience behind the bar, confident with flavour profiles, techniques and presentation
• Strong working knowledge of cocktail preparation and bar set-up
• Experience with flair bartending, cocktail creation and premium spirits highly regarded
• Flexible and dependable, able to embrace a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
• Current RSA certificate and full Australian working rights
