Banking & Finance Lawyer (1-3 Years PAE)

About the role

This position offers a newly qualified lawyer the chance to work directly with an experienced Banking & Finance Partner in a leading national law firm. You will be involved in a variety of financing transactions, gaining exposure to complex trade finance and structured lending matters while developing commercial acumen.

Key responsibilities

• Advise borrowers, lenders and corporate clients on corporate, acquisition, property and construction finance.
• Assist with trade and supplier finance, structured inventory finance, and bills of exchange discounting facilities.
• Prepare and negotiate security documentation, intercreditor arrangements and facility agreements.
• Provide general banking and finance advisory services throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years post‑admission experience in Banking & Finance.
• Experience gained within a recognised commercial law firm.
• Strong drafting ability and technical attention to detail.
• Commercial mindset with confidence in building client relationships.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating facility agreements.
• Preparation of security documentation and intercreditor arrangements.
