Bank Lecturer – Counselling (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

UHI Perth is seeking a part‑time Bank Lecturer in Counselling on a one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will teach a range of counselling programmes from COSCA to HNC/HND (levels 7 & 8) and support student development across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and practical sessions in Person‑Centred counselling and psychotherapy.
• Plan, prepare and assess coursework and examinations.
• Maintain compliance with regulated work involving children, including PVG checks.
• Contribute to curriculum development and optional training delivery.

Required profile

• Diploma in Person‑Centred counselling (HE) and psychotherapy with significant experience, or an equivalent qualification.
• Accreditation with COSCA and/or BACP.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and use initiative.
