Back of House Assistant (Retail Stockroom)

About the role

Join JD Sports in Chatswood as a Back of House Assistant, supporting the store’s operations by managing stock from delivery to the shop floor. This part‑time, rostered position works Tuesday to Saturday and is essential for delivering a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack, process, label and store merchandise in the back‑of‑house area.
• Assist the Back of House Manager/Supervisor with deliveries and maintain a tidy, damage‑free stockroom.
• Support the sales team by retrieving product styles and sizes quickly for customers on the floor.
• Ensure all items are correctly priced and tagged.
• Replenish shop‑floor stock levels, keeping full size ranges available.
• Maintain back‑of‑house standards in line with company expectations.
• Work towards store KPIs and targets under guidance of the Store Manager.

Required profile

• Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hospitality or a similar fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong organisational abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Willingness to work the specified rostered days.

Required skills

• Basic stock handling and inventory procedures.
• Ability to operate handheld devices for labeling and stock checks (if used).
