Azure Support Engineer

About the role

Accenture’s Managed Services team is seeking an Azure Support Engineer to deliver day‑to‑day technical support for client Azure environments, covering compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, backup and security.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Azure support across virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, Microsoft Entra ID, access controls, monitoring, backup and platform reliability.
• Analyse incidents and service requests, translate them into configuration changes, resource remediation or technical resolutions.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, configuration guides, test scripts, runbooks and stakeholder communication materials.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, ARM templates and Bicep modules for low‑to‑medium complexity tasks.
• Track incidents, ticket trends and resource health, recommending continuous improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience supporting live Azure environments and cloud operations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, able to work with application, infrastructure, security and service teams.
• Australian citizenship (security clearance highly regarded).

• Microsoft Azure administration (VMs, storage, virtual networking, Entra ID, RBAC).
• Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep, ARM templates.
• Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Network Watcher, Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines, CI/CD practices.
• Automation scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code.
