AW139 HEMS Line Pilot – Adelaide

About the role

Toll Aviation, part of the Toll Group, is recruiting an experienced line pilot for its upcoming HEMS contract in Adelaide, South Australia. The pilot provides safe, reliable, mission-critical aeromedical services to communities across South Australia, reporting to the Senior Contract Pilot on an equal-time roster. Employment is under the Toll Aviation Pilot's Enterprise Agreement, with an expected commencement date of March 2027.

Required profile

• CASA Commercial Pilot Licence (Helicopter) or ATPL(H) with the appropriate endorsements and ratings to act as pilot in command of all HEMS operations authorised by the Operator's certificate.
• 2,000 hours total flying experience, 1,500 hours as pilot in command, and 500 hours as PIC in turbine rotary-wing aircraft.
• NVFR rating with at least 200 hours at night as PIC, and NVIS Grade 1 with at least 40 hours as PIC.
• Multi-engine command instrument rating with at least 3 renewals, and a CASA Class 1 medical.
• Comprehensive night, winch and IFR experience in a multi-crew environment.
• Ability to complete medical and police checks and hold or obtain an Australian Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC); ability to obtain an NV1 security clearance if required.
• Must be entitled to work in Australia and able to undergo pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical.

Required skills

• Excellent crew resource management and communication skills.
• Highly desirable: AW139 type endorsement with at least 100 hours as PIC on the type, and EMS/SAR experience on the AW139.
