Audit Senior – Assurance & Audit

About the role

Join RSM's rapidly growing Ballarat Assurance & Advisory team as an Audit Senior. You will work with a diverse portfolio of listed, private, not‑for‑profit and government clients, managing audit engagements from planning through reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and complete audit work papers, documenting tests and findings for complex audit areas.
• Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues, ensuring compliance with Australian (or International) Auditing Standards and the Corporations Act.
• Review financial statements for standards compliance and draft audit reports and opinions for management.
• Coordinate audit teams, providing training, mentoring and ensuring methodology compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of audit experience, preferably with AIC.
• CA qualified or near‑qualified.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset and a passion for delivering first‑class client service.

Required skills

• Auditing (Australian/International Auditing Standards)
• Accounting Standards compliance
• Knowledge of the Australian Corporations Act
