Audit Associate - Perth

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia's Perth Audit Practice is looking for an experienced Associate to join its team. The practice delivers independent, robust audits that give clients actionable insights, working with ASX-listed companies, private businesses and not-for-profits. The role balances work from home with collaborative team connection days, offers structured learning and development at all career levels, and uses the firm's global audit methodology and the latest technology.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake independent statutory audits of public listed and unlisted companies, proprietary companies, incorporated associations, not-for-profit entities and government bodies' financial reports
• Create complete and accurate audit work papers
• Identify and report on client financial risks
• Analyse financial statements to ensure they comply with statutory requirements
• Investigate difficult technical and application issues to improve client outcomes

Required profile

• Experience in a similar audit and assurance environment with sound knowledge of IFRS
• Working towards CA/CPA qualification
• Exceptional client relationship skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
