AU Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to support Australian clients remotely. The role involves preparing financial reports, handling tax filings, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping for a range of businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reports and update general ledger accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial data is accurate.
• Assist with tax filings, Business Activity Statements (BAS/IAS) and other regulatory reports.
• Process vendor bills, client invoices, and payroll entries on a daily basis.
• Communicate clearly with Australian team leads to answer queries, explain numbers, and meet deadlines.
• Regularly review financial records to maintain data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Strong accounting knowledge with high attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, planning and organisational abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
