Associate Systems Engineer

About the role

Saab Australia is looking for an Associate Systems Engineer to join its team in Hawthorn, VIC. This position offers the chance to develop systems engineering skills while supporting cutting‑edge defence capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in gathering and analysing system requirements from stakeholders.
• Support the development of requirements documentation and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to system architecture and design specifications.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to ensure requirements are met.
• Help integrate hardware and software components and assist with testing activities.

Required profile

• Up to 2 years’ experience in systems engineering activities.
• Fundamental understanding of systems engineering principles.
• Basic familiarity with military or defence technologies is desirable.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.
