Associate Manager, Regulatory Interactions

About the role

Macquarie Group is looking for an Associate Manager (Senior Analyst) for its Regulatory Interactions team within Banking and Financial Services, based in Sydney. The team manages key ASIC and other regulatory engagements across the division, and the role offers potential progression to a Manager position for candidates with the right experience.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate regulatory interactions, including information requests, notices and reviews, and help deliver regulatory outcomes in line with engagement protocols and risk management processes.
• Prepare briefing materials, status reports and submissions for regulators.
• Analyse information to identify emerging risks, issues and trends, and escalate complex matters where appropriate.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the division and the wider Macquarie Group.
• Maintain reporting and dashboards showing material regulatory interactions, thematic observations and emerging regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Working understanding of regulations and/or regulatory principles applicable to Retail Financial Services.
• Previous experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Data and AI, Legal, Technology or a related discipline is desirable.
• Solid communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and adapt to changing regulatory demands.
