Associate – Infrastructure Investments

About the role

The firm is seeking an Associate to join its infrastructure investment team in Sydney or Melbourne. The role involves executing acquisitions and divestments across renewable generation, energy storage and broader infrastructure assets, while also managing existing portfolio initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute acquisitions and divestments from inception through completion.
• Build and maintain sophisticated financial models and valuation analyses.
• Lead due diligence workstreams and prepare investment committee materials.
• Conduct asset valuations, refinancing processes and commercial initiatives.
• Produce fund reporting, investor updates and asset optimisation recommendations.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years’ experience in M&A investment banking, infrastructure or private equity, valuations or project finance.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities with transaction execution experience.
• Understanding of energy transition assets and the Australian/New Zealand energy markets.
• Knowledge of infrastructure contractual frameworks, project financing structures and government support mechanisms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering or related field; CFA or similar qualification preferred.
