Associate – Environment & Planning

About the role

The role is based in Melbourne within the firm’s Environment & Planning practice, working closely with senior partners on a variety of environmental and climate law matters across both public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and litigation support on climate change, carbon, major project approvals and environmental licensing.
• Handle Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal proceedings, contaminated land, waste management and water law issues.
• Assist with risk management, incident response and compliance matters for corporate clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in a reputable Environment & Planning practice.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities to juggle multiple projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including commercial drafting skills.
• Strong academic achievements.
