Associate Director - Rail

About the role

The Associate Director – Rail will lead and support major rail projects across Western Australia and the broader ANZ region. Reporting to senior leaders, you will combine client engagement, project delivery and business development within AECOM’s rail hub.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high‑quality bid responses, shaping win strategies and preparing written submissions.
• Act as a primary client interface, representing AECOM on major rail projects and nurturing existing relationships.
• Identify organic growth opportunities and support the selling of project outcomes and team capabilities.
• Participate in conferences, industry forums and client events to raise AECOM’s profile.

Required profile

• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
• Extensive rail infrastructure experience with end‑to‑end understanding of rail systems and operations.
• Proven business development track record, including shaping opportunities and supporting growth.
• Strong commercial judgement and experience leading bid responses.
• Ability to build and maintain senior client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
