About the role
The Associate Director, Project & Export Finance will lead the delivery, execution and ongoing management of large‑scale project finance transactions for ANZ's institutional customers across sectors such as natural resources, infrastructure, energy and digital infrastructure.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to prepare and execute transactions, including credit analysis, term‑sheet negotiation and documentation.
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of refinancings for existing customers and support client retention through ongoing dialogue on financial performance.
- Maintain credit quality by monitoring adverse trends, escalating risk events and providing insightful reporting to senior management and governance forums.
- Oversee portfolio credit management, including scheduled reviews, financial monitoring, waivers and consents.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, product standards and approval requirements.
Required profile
- Many years of experience in corporate, project, acquisition or structured finance.
- Strong verbal and written communication, influencing and networking abilities.
- Understanding of market, business and economic trends relevant to large‑scale project finance.
