Associate Director, Architecture

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Architect at Associate Director level to lead design, client engagement and project delivery across complex architectural projects in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project leadership and technical oversight, guiding multidisciplinary teams and setting clear design direction.
• Drive excellence in delivery, ensuring design quality, innovation, technical outcomes and client expectations are met.
• Develop strong client relationships, identify opportunities and contribute to major project pursuits.
• Champion sustainable and innovative architectural solutions while coordinating multidisciplinary inputs.
• Mentor architects and designers, sharing technical knowledge and building team capability.
• Support business performance through resource allocation, budgeting and risk management.

Required profile

• Registered Architect in Western Australia with 15+ years of experience and current professional registration.
• Proven leadership in complex projects, strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent client and stakeholder engagement abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Collaborative approach with a genuine interest in mentoring others.
