About the role
This is a hands‑on learning position for a student studying civil engineering. You will work in an office alongside experienced designers and engineers while completing a part‑time Associate Degree in Civil Engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in engineering design and documentation for infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, cycleways, drainage, water and renewable energy.
- Produce engineered sketches and drawings using Autodesk and Bentley software.
- Perform quantity calculations to support cost estimating.
- Undertake field site visits to inform design deliverables.
Required profile
- Completed Year 12 and eligible to enrol in an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering with USQ or CQU.
- Keen to start a career in civil design and motivated to learn from professional teams.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Autodesk design packages.
- Proficiency with Bentley design packages.
