Assistant Property Valuer or Certified Property Valuer

About the role

EY Parthenon is hiring a Consultant or Senior Consultant - Property Valuer for its Strategic Capital Advisory team. The role is hybrid, based in Melbourne (Naarm) or Brisbane (Meanjin), and can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. You will work across multiple industry sectors and across functions within the EY Parthenon network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial and feasibility modelling assistance on projects and transactions for income-producing and development assets
• Assist on major urban renewal and infrastructure projects, including business cases, transaction strategies and property development advice
• Carry out vendor and acquisition due diligence for clients buying or selling real estate assets or portfolios
• Provide market research and trend analysis and contribute to thought leadership papers
• Support the audit team in the peer review of valuation for financial reporting
• Work on new housing models such as Build to Rent and Specialist Disability Accommodation
• Prepare valuation assignments for stabilised assets and development properties
• Investigate and use new real estate technology applications to deliver innovative results for clients

Required profile

• Professional accreditation as a CPV of the API or MRICS, or working towards one of these qualifications
• Detailed understanding of private sector and government valuation processes
• Experience in client-facing roles, with good report writing and presentation skills
