Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator - Data Centre

About the role

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator for a data centre project in Sydney. The role supports the Project Manager in keeping the project to the right quality standards, completed efficiently and on time, and covers governance, stakeholder liaison, reporting and proposal support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing the project to quality standards, on time and efficiently.
• Help establish project governance, processes and systems used throughout the project.
• Ensure key information and data are shared effectively and retained appropriately.
• Maintain strong relationships with the client and team members, and interface with executive management, consultants and vendors.
• Keep issue and action logs up to date, attend meetings and follow up on completion status and close-out of open items.
• Contribute to monthly reporting on the client's programme and prepare formal project management reports, executive dashboards and other reports.
• Assist with preparing proposals for new projects or variations to existing ones.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in project management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 3 years' relevant experience in project management or project coordination in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, tools and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera is a plus.
