Assistant Manager - Oxley Tavern

About the role

Oxley Tavern, one of southwest Brisbane's most dynamic, high-tempo venues, is looking for a driven Assistant Manager. The venue runs on a team of several Assistant Managers rather than an isolated Duty Manager, sharing shift load and collaborating on floor strategy. The role covers busy dinner rushes, major fight night trade in the sports bar and gaming and late-night floor operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and help the Publican learn the ropes of being a Publican.
• Manage the floor during peak times and handle issues before they become problems.
• Deliver the energy, service and smiles every shift.

Required profile

• Experience working behind the bar, bistro or gaming room, with some supervising already done.
• Confidence, pride and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is away.
• Able to lift and move stock, kegs and deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements.
