Assistant Manager - Jimboomba Tavern

About the role

The Jimboomba Tavern is looking for a driven Assistant Manager to run the floor at one of the Logan region's busiest venues. The venue uses a team of several Assistant Managers rather than a single isolated Duty Manager, sharing shift load and collaborating on floor strategy. The role covers bistro dining, sports bar trade and gaming and retail operations.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great atmosphere
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and help learn the role of Publican
• Manage the floor during busy shifts, including weekends and game days
• Handle issues quickly so they do not become bigger problems
• Deliver the energy, service and smiles every shift

Required profile

• Experience working behind the bar, bistro or gaming room, possibly with some supervising already
• Confidence, pride and people skills to represent the pub when the boss is away
• Ability to handle stock, kegs and deliveries safely and efficiently
• Current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
