Assistant Finance Officer – Helpdesk

About the role

Join a large Queensland Government organisation as an Assistant Finance Officer providing helpdesk support across finance and travel systems. You will work in a corporate services environment, delivering day‑to‑day financial operations and user assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial helpdesk support and advice on processes, system functions and best practice.
• Support users of ExpenseMe Pro and SAP finance systems, including access setup and issue resolution.
• Investigate and resolve system issues, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Assist with training content, user acceptance testing and development of support resources.
• Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations for finance, corporate cards and travel allowances.

Required profile

• Experience in a financial helpdesk, finance operations or systems support environment.
• Strong ability to communicate financial processes clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive approach to process improvement with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain data accuracy.

Required skills

• SAP ECC (payment management and reporting).
• ExpenseMe Pro.
