Assistant Finance Manager

About the role

JLL is hiring an Assistant Finance Manager for its building management team in Sydney. The role provides administrative support across finance and operations so that properties run smoothly, working closely with the General Manager, Tenant Relationship Manager, Finance Manager and wider operations teams. It covers work order systems, accounts payable, capital payments and budget forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Help manage, complete and troubleshoot the work order system, analysing trends for operational insights
• Manage accounts payable in MRI, including purchase orders, invoicing, batch reviews and creditor setup
• Review open and aged purchase orders with site staff and follow up with contractors on outstanding work
• Coordinate monthly vendor accounts, reconcile invoices and resolve queries
• Perform rent and vendor payment reconciliations
• Track CAPEX, compile capital payments and report on project progress
• Support the Finance Manager with budgeting and forecasting, compile financial packs and organise review meetings
• Prepare and review financial sections of monthly, quarterly and annual client reports and ad hoc requests
• Provide general administrative and project support to site and head office teams

Required profile

• Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent qualification
• Proven ability to prioritise tasks and deliver quality work under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently while staying aligned with leadership
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders
• Previous experience with MRI or similar real estate accounting software is highly regarded
• Practical knowledge of lease administration and familiarity with Prism or similar contractor management systems are an advantage
