Assistant Coordinator - Carlton Gardens

About the role

Junior Adventures Group (JAG) is looking for an Assistant Coordinator for its Carlton Gardens service, which partners with parents and school communities to support children's development through play. This is a permanent, part-time role of 29.25 hours per week, split between two shifts: 7:00-9:00am (Rise then Shine) and 2:45-6:00pm (Stay and Play), plus 3 hours of non-contact admin time. Candidates may also lead the Holiday HQ program (7:30am-6:00pm).

Key responsibilities

• Help lead and mentor a team of Educators onsite.
• Build confidence in roster management, service operations, compliance and administration.
• Create child-led programs such as STEM, cooking, sport, art and craft experiences.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, schools and the wider community.
• Develop the skills and experience needed to progress into management roles.

Required profile

• A national police check (paid by the employer) and a state working-with-children check.
• Australian working rights.
• National Child Safety Training completed before onboarding (via Gecko).
• Diploma-level qualification in Victoria as an Educator under ACECQA, or working towards it.
