Assistant Accountant - Service Delivery

About the role

YWCA Australia is hiring an Assistant Accountant for its Finance Team, based in Surry Hills, Sydney, with hybrid working and a mix of office and work-from-home flexibility. The role supports the organisation's programs, services and housing initiatives that strengthen communities for women and gender diverse people. It is a full-time permanent position at $80,000 per annum.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the financial health and sustainability of the organisation through accurate reporting, budgeting, compliance and financial administration.
• Partner with teams across the organisation and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Help strengthen the systems and processes that underpin the organisation's work.

Required profile

• Experience in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Degree in Business, Accounting or a related discipline, with a CPA or CA qualification (or currently working towards completion).
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities.
• Enjoys learning, improving processes and delivering reliable financial information and good internal customer service.
