Asset Management Specialist

About the role

The Asset Management Specialist joins KBR’s asset optimisation team in Sydney, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This permanent position supports the delivery of the Asset Optimisation Program, ensuring compliance with the Asset Management Plan and maintaining a Baseline Defence Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead PO data cleansing and validation across MSD, closing redundant or inactive purchase orders and correcting data anomalies.
• Deliver asset optimisation activities, including stakeholder supervision, integration planning, and alignment with program schedules.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance system reliability, availability, and maintainability within contract boundaries.
• Monitor optimisation progress, resolve delays, and manage at‑risk tasks to keep delivery on track.
• Identify, report, and mitigate risks such as resource constraints, schedule conflicts, and system issues.
• Conduct root cause analysis and condition monitoring to implement corrective maintenance and engineering improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience applying Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) and FMECA in engineering projects.
• Strong background in Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).
• Proven ability to translate system needs into clear engineering specifications and make sound decisions in complex regulatory environments.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent, with defence industry exposure and eligibility for ITAR clearance.
