Architect – Non‑Process Facility

About the role

This part‑time position supports the delivery of a greenfield mining, material‑handling and ship‑loading project in Brisbane. The role blends on‑site presence with telework, requiring at least three days per week in the office or project site.

Key responsibilities

• Support the architectural scope for non‑process infrastructure (NPI) across study, FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and close‑out phases.
• Review and evaluate contractor submissions, including shop drawings, material submittals, product data, method statements, ITP documentation and as‑built records.
• Provide technical guidance on constructability, compliance, durability and maintainability to project teams, EPCM/owner’s teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Assess unconventional materials and techniques, addressing complex coordination requirements.
• Coordinate architectural interfaces with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plant design & piping, and fire‑protection disciplines to ensure integrated delivery.
• Prepare discipline estimates and work plans, review and approve design documents, interpret regulations and assist with performance reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience planning, developing, designing and reviewing architectural work on large, complex projects.
• Ability to prepare accurate discipline estimates and detailed work plans.
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and standards for mining non‑process facilities.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑disciplinary coordination and stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness to work part‑time telework with a minimum of three on‑site days per week.
