Aquatic Officer (Duty Manager) - Newman

About the role

The Shire of East Pilbara, the largest local government authority in Western Australia, is recruiting an Aquatic Officer (Duty Manager) for Newman. The role sits within a team working toward the Shire's vision and objectives, applying procedures and standards relevant to leisure and aquatic facilities.

Required profile

• Experience working in an aquatic facility
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proven self-management, time management and organisational skills
• Understanding of safety practices and effective communication skills

Required skills

• Current LIWA accreditation or willingness to obtain it
• Current Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one
• Current Pool Plant Operators Certificate (LIWA)
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current 003 First Aid Certificate
• Knowledge of how to safely use a wide range of tools for plant facility management
• Current Class C driver's licence valid in Western Australia
