Apprentice Parts Interpreter

About the role

Volvo Group Australia's Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) is hiring an Apprentice Parts Interpreter in Prestons. You will complete a Cert III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreting) while learning the complex parts process from experienced parts interpreters in the heavy vehicle industry. The aim is to spend 24 months learning the full cycle of the parts process before moving into a permanent Parts Interpreter role.

Key responsibilities

• Shadow experienced Parts Interpreters to learn the parts systems and processes
• Provide prompt and courteous customer service to VCV customers
• Answer customer enquiries by phone or email
• Assist with parts identification and inventory management
• Perform parts warehousing tasks, including sorting and ordering
• Complete the Cert III in Automotive Sales (Parts Interpreting), funded by Volvo Group

Required profile

• A true interest in the heavy vehicle industry (preferably trucks and buses)
• Sound communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work in a team
• Ability to work a rotating roster including Saturday shifts after full training
• Minimum age of 16 years

Required skills

• Sound computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
