Application Specialist – CNC Metal Cutting Tools

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a motivated Application Specialist to join its technical sales team in Western Australia. You will work closely with customers to understand their machining challenges and introduce them to Sandvik’s cutting‑tool technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers across WA, visiting sites to assess operations and troubleshoot issues.
• Introduce and recommend Sandvik Coromant’s latest cutting tools, technologies and solutions to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal technical specialists to develop tailored solutions and follow up on opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Curious, practical and customer‑focused with strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Technical mindset and ability to understand how products and processes work.
• Willingness to learn, solve problems and work independently as well as within a supportive team.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across WA.

Required skills

• Knowledge of metal cutting, machining or CNC processes.
• Understanding of manufacturing and production environments.
