APAC Tax Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Director, Tax, the APAC Tax Manager will ensure timely and accurate tax filings across ANZ, SEA and Japan, working closely with finance teams and external providers.

Key responsibilities

• Support external tax providers on compliance work and act as the interface for regional finance teams.
• Assist with planning, project work and review of optimized legal structures for commercial deals.
• Handle transfer pricing matters, including TPD, CbCR notifications and local file obligations.
• Lead tax audits/reviews within the region and prepare business finance teams for audits.
• Oversee preparation of tax provisions, deferred taxes and statutory tax disclosures for CIT, VAT/GST, FBT and Pillar 2 filings.
• Evaluate internal tax reporting processes, recommend improvements to systems and controls, and support tax governance measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting; CA, CPA or Masters of Tax preferred.
• 7‑10 years of tax experience in a global MNC, Big 4 or similar environment.
• Current working rights in Australia (no visa sponsorship).
• Strong analytical, communication and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with accounting packages such as Oracle and Sage.
