AO3 Intake Officer – Customer Service (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service professional to join a State Government client in Brisbane as an AO3 Intake Officer. This is a 3‑month contract position based in the CBD, starting as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls and act as the first point of contact for legal enquiries.
  • Explain complex legal concepts to applicants in clear, understandable language.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate file notes for each interaction.
  • Follow up on actions required and ensure timely resolution of enquiries.

Required profile

  • Previous experience working within a legal environment or familiarity with legal processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in a call centre or customer service setting.
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information.
  • Proficient computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rate of $51.12 per hour plus 12% superannuation.
    • Fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
    • Immediate start in a central Brisbane location.
