ANZ Communications Manager

About the role

Canva is looking for an ANZ Communications Manager to lead its communications strategy across Australia and New Zealand. Based in Sydney, you will work in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with on‑site collaboration when needed. You will shape how Canva tells its story to the market, media, and internal audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the communications strategy for Australia and New Zealand, covering product, technology, corporate, and consumer narratives.
• Build and nurture relationships with top journalists and editors in the region.
• Localise and activate global product launches and campaigns for maximum relevance.
• Drive a year‑round storytelling program across earned, owned, and experiential channels.
• Partner with regional leaders to support leadership communications, events, and media interviews.
• Collaborate with People and leadership teams on internal communications, change initiatives, and employee engagement.

Required profile

• Extensive communications experience in Australia and New Zealand.
• Proven track record of leading high‑impact communications programmes and securing coverage in top‑tier media.
• Strong understanding of the Australian and New Zealand media landscape.
• Ability to work independently and influence cross‑functional teams.
