About the role
ILM Sydney is looking for talented Animators to create high‑quality motion for computer‑generated characters, creatures and objects. You will work under the guidance of senior animators and supervisors on a variety of cutting‑edge visual‑effects projects.
Key responsibilities
- Animate a series of shots for a specific project, meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to develop aesthetic solutions and provide feedback during daily reviews.
- Mentor entry‑level animators, offering support and guidance on their shots.
- Produce animation references, including video recordings, to aid the broader animation team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Traditional Animation or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or 5 years of professional animation work.
- Strong understanding of animation principles and the ability to maintain consistent productivity.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Maya and other proprietary animation software.
- Experience working on Linux‑based systems.
