Analyst - Financial Crime Risk Assessments

About the role

Crown Resorts is seeking an Analyst for its Financial Crime Risk team, reporting to the Manager, Financial Crime Risk Assessments. The role supports the delivery of the financial crime risk assessment program and helps build data-driven risk management capabilities, working with stakeholders across Financial Crime, Compliance, Data Analytics and Technology. Applicants are considered based in Perth, Melbourne or Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial crime risk assessments across Crown's operations.
• Support the review and enhancement of risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
• Develop, maintain and enhance dashboards, reporting and visualisations for risk assessment.
• Analyse customer, transaction, product and regulatory data to identify trends, emerging risks and financial crime typologies.
• Deliver data analytics supporting financial crime intelligence and risk management.
• Contribute to identifying emerging AML/CTF risks and regulatory developments.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver insights and recommendations.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of experience conducting risk assessments in a risk, compliance, audit or regulatory environment.
• Desired: experience in financial crime risk, compliance, regulatory, banking, financial services or gaming.
• Desired: understanding of AML/CTF obligations, financial crime typologies and regulatory expectations.
• Desired: degree (or current studies) in Risk, Business, Finance, Law, Criminology, Data Science or a related discipline.
• Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• Data analytics and reporting, ideally with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Splunk or similar.
