Alternate Underground Manager

About the role

Catalyst Metals is seeking an Alternate Underground Manager to support safe and efficient underground mining operations at the Plutonic Gold Mine on an 8:6 FIFO roster. You will step in for the Underground Manager during absences and work closely with Technical Services to meet production, safety and budget targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set and uphold high safety standards, overseeing technical work and day‑to‑day execution of the mine plan.
• Lead the underground mining team and assume the Underground Manager’s duties during rostered absences.
• Collaborate with Technical Services to develop budgets, operating plans and strategies.
• Monitor operational performance and implement improvement initiatives for safety, productivity and cost.
• Provide technical and operational leadership to ensure safe execution of the underground mine plan.

Required profile

• WA Underground First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency or equivalent.
• Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) and ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
• Significant underground mining experience, preferably in statutory and management roles.
